Earl Stephenson is a former Major League Baseball pitcher, known for his left-handed pitching and his contributions both on and off the field. Coach Earl was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 3rd round of the 1967 amateur draft. In his career, he played for the Cubs, the Milwaukee Brewers, and the Baltimore Orioles. Coach Earl played in 54 games in his career, throwing 50 strikeouts in 113.1 innings pitched.
Off the field, Coach Earl returned to his hometown of Benson, NC, where he has dedicated his life to coaching and mentoring youth baseball players. Serving as the Triton High School baseball coach from 1997-2002, Coach Earl taught young ball players the importance of fundamentals, mental discipline, and a strong work ethic. Coach Earl bases his philosophy and coaching style on developing well-round athletes, drawing from his experience as a former MLB pitcher, Coach Earl has cultivated an approach that fosters both skill development and personal growth.
